When a listing is posted, it appears at the top of search results and in the notifications of your followers. Republishing a listing involves recreating the same listing and deleting the old one to avoid duplicates. This increases the chances of selling the reposted item while attracting more visitors to the rest of your closet, which can boost the sale of other items. It is recommended to repost your listings at the end of the day and on Sundays.
When a listing is published on Vinted, the Vinted algorithm checks the photos to see if they have already been posted. To outsmart the algorithm, you can make various modifications to the photos using the editor.
Using Dotb's filtering system, you can check if Vinted has detected the listing as a repost. To do this, filter the listings that have the reposted status, then republish them with different photo modifications.
If you have already used Dotb to repost the item, a history of reposts is visible in the box. The history allows you to make different photo modifications and prevent Vinted from detecting the item as reposted.
Sometimes, Vinted may ask you to solve a captcha if too many operations are performed in a short period, such as editing the price of 100 items or reposting more than 50 items. Don't worry, simply click on the link, solve the captcha, and you can continue your operations. Solving a captcha creates a draft listing that you can delete afterward.
If you've been temporarily blocked on Vinted (often due to triggering Captcha multiple times), there are a few ways to regain access:
Change Your IP Address Vinted’s system may have flagged your IP address. Changing it can help bypass the block. Here’s how:
If you're on mobile data (4G/5G): Simply toggle Airplane Mode on, wait a few seconds, then turn it off again. This will assign you a new IP address.
If you're on Wi-Fi (via an internet box/router): Restarting your router will typically refresh your IP address. Wait a few minutes before reconnecting to ensure the change takes effect.
Wait Out the Block The blocks are temporary and may lift on their own after a set period. If you’re not in a rush, waiting a few hours or even up to 24 hours can resolve the issue naturally without further steps.
Avoid Further Captcha Triggers Once you're back on, avoid rapid, repetitive actions that may trigger Vinted's anti-bot measures. Try spacing out your reposts or bulk edits across multiple sessions to prevent being flagged again.
